Apple’s new iPhone 15 Pro models are facing overheating issues, likely due to compromises in thermal design. Apple may address the issue with software updates. Apple had introduced the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max models during the Wonder lust event earlier this month.
iOS and iPadOS devices have built-in protections to prevent overheating. If the interior temperature of your device exceeds the normal operating range, your device will protect its internal components by attempting to regulate its temperature.

Kuo says Apple is expected to address the overheating issues in a software update, though he cautions that “improvements may be limited unless Apple lowers processor performance.” It will likely be several weeks before such a fix is implemented as Apple hasn’t started beta testing iOS 17.1 yet.
